A: I would suggest that Medicare could be saved in the same manner as my proposal for Social Security: Once those trapped in that system are secured, all current workers need to be diverted to a private "Medicare" insurance plan, where their payroll deductions are invested into a secure plan that will cover them later in life when they don't have the income to pay for it then.
A: Disagree. It is the citizen's own responsibility to provide for their personal welfare. The government is only responsible for the welfare of the nation as a whole... not individuals. I think the government should follow policies that promote private welfare for temporarily needy citizens.
