First-rate healthcare is a fundamental and basic right

I support single payer health care, the efforts of Physicians for a National Health program, the principles of Roe v. Wade, and the strongest privacy laws relative to patient confidentiality. I also support stem cell research, all mental health services, reasonable staffing and work schedules for health care workers, and believe that Hospice Care should be fully funded. More federal funding as a step towards single payer system

A: Yes, but I think health care delivery is just as important, if not more so.

Q: What do you think of the new Massachusetts healthcare system as a national model?

A: It is a step in the right direction in terms of universal health care, but I favor a single payer system.
